Taipei, TAIWAN - March 24, 2026 - CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a leading AI facial recognition company, today announced a partnership with VIA Technologies to launch an integrated AI facial recognition access control solution. The solution combines CyberLink’s FaceMe® Security facial recognition system with VIA’s ACS access control devices to deliver real-time, secure identity verification and access management.
Designed for high-security environments such as smart buildings, corporate headquarters, high-tech manufacturing facilities, and indoor and outdoor access control areas, the solution enables system integrators to quickly deploy and scale facial recognition-based access control systems.

Integrated Facial Recognition Access Control Built for Edge Deployment
FaceMe® Security is a ready-to-deploy solution designed for smart security and access control applications. The software can be integrated with IP cameras or access control devices (such as tablets) depending on deployment needs, enabling efficient and secure facial recognition–based access management.
Through this collaboration, FaceMe® Security is integrated with VIA’s ACS access control devices via the FaceMe® Security Terminal Add-on, creating a complete edge-based access control solution for identity verification and entry management.
High-Performance AI Processing Powered by MediaTek Genio 700
VIA’s ACS access control devices are powered by the MediaTek Genio 700 octa-core SoC, delivering high-performance computing with low power consumption to support the real-time AI edge computing demands of smart security environments.
The FaceMe® facial recognition engine is optimized for the Genio 700’s AI processor (NPU), enabling significantly faster inference performance compared to CPU-only processing. Test results show AI inference running up to 6.5× faster, while reducing CPU workload by 24%, allowing the system to maintain fast response times and stable performance even in high-traffic access control environments.
Optimizing AI Liveness Detection and Anti-Spoofing for VIA ACS IR+RGB Dual-Camera Access Control Module
VIA’s ACS access control device is powered by the MediaTek Genio 700 high-performance platform and features an integrated IR + RGB dual-camera module to enhance the security and reliability of identity verification at access points. CyberLink’s FaceMe® Security Terminal Add-on has been specially optimized for this dual-camera configuration, with AI model tuning and anti-spoofing enhancements designed to strengthen both liveness detection and spoof detection capabilities. The system can complete anti-spoofing verification within 0.6 seconds, effectively preventing presentation attacks using photos, videos, or 3D masks.
In addition, the devices feature industrial-grade relay outputs and support a wide range of communication and I/O interfaces, allowing full access control functionality, including facial recognition and card-based verification, without the need for additional expansion modules. The tight integration of FaceMe® Security software with VIA hardware provides enterprises and industrial facilities with a one-stop, plug-and-play access control solution that simplifies deployment while enhancing identity verification security.
Looking ahead, both companies will continue collaborating with global system integrators to promote edge AI–driven facial recognition access control solutions, accelerating the digitalization of security management in smart buildings and enterprise environments.
“Access control has shifted from traditional card-based verification to more automated, contactless facial recognition,” said Bao-Huei Chen, General Manager of VIA Technologies. “As demand for identity verification and access management grows, we are excited to partner with CyberLink FaceMe to accelerate integration and deployment by combining AI facial recognition with edge computing.”
“In access control applications, deployment efficiency and integration flexibility have become critical for multi-site expansion,” said Mei Guu, President of CyberLink Business Unit 2. “Through our integration with VIA’s ACS access control devices, we aim to make facial recognition technology easier to integrate into a wide range of access control and edge devices, helping customers quickly build scalable, replicable solutions that can be smoothly deployed across different sites and regions.”
